I've looked at your profile and the rest of this series, you seem to be very passionate about this project and want. But egotistically going up to people just to ask them to engage with it isn't the way to go!
I've made this same mistake when I first started posting stuff online. I had this dream fan - game I wanted to make. I had zero coding experience and had not made any real games before. so I was always posting updates to the game when I really was only being obnoxious.
I ended up making a huge fool out of myself and getting kicked out of the server. I felt pretty discouraged when that happened. But i decided to go and learn more about how to actualy do some of the things i wanted to do and now ive picked up a bunch of skills, Created a bunch of stuff that Im proud of, and made bunch of connections with lots of cool people in the process. I dont want you to end up like how I couldve ended up.
You should still work on this project hell even upload it. Just know that you shouldn't have this be something you are displaying on a pedastool and force down everyone's throats. Just know that you'll have to work on other stuff and also learn stuff like how to animate and write a script while your doing so. also dont base your entire online identity around one sigle thing you've made. especially if its something your creating so early in your creative journey.
Dont let yourself stay in a single comfort zone. do stuff your not used to doing. you seem to only draw that one character from this movie. Try something else! make another character.
draw a background. you dont need to wait until your a professional to show of your stuff.
Just make sure you are quaint about it. eventually you will be able to make something of a higher quality that will be less derivative of stuff that already been made here.
If you want people to engage with your things, you shouldn't have to be asking them to draw fanart and stuff especially people that have a large following. that will weird people out and everyone will avoid you. Dont make the conversation about yourself, istead take inrest in what other people that are your skill level are making. Ask questions! Create stuff with other peolpe. Dont make everything about yourself. So once youve done that and you've swallowed your pride you can start talking about big projects you are working on. Newgrounds is one of the best places to be a creator on since its meant for people that actualy create things. not for people to react to things and farm views. we have reveiws, not a comments section, and you dont repuload peoples stuff.
I hope you get at least something out of this. Im not entirely sure you be able to read this.
It would be realy sad for me to see you fall into all the same pitfalls I did and end up abandoning creating stuff.

Never treat your first project as your magnum opus, And dont brag about the mountains your gonna climb before you've even got your hiking boots on. ( and dont roleplay while talking to people its weird)
